Hi!

I guess I'll be the only one with a not so favourable review of the whole weekend..... sorry for being the wet blanket here lah... but hopefully can improve some more in the future holidays planned... Smile

Things just did not happen as we expected.... first, we could not locate our room as it was on the top floor and the access staircase is hidden behind a door with another room number. Then, the kettle was leaking... we had to climb down all the way downstairs to look for a hotel staff to replace it(no phone extension so cannot call lah)... then there was no batteries in the remote control... so another trip downstairs... when evening came, no lights in the room.... so another trip downstairs and we missed the trip to the beach while we wait for maintenance people to come and fix the problem with the blown fuse.... the next morning after the parade, when we came back to our room we could not open our door.... apparently, the latch was closed... but how was it closed? There was no one in the room and in the end another trip downstairs to look for hotel staff and then another wait for maintenance people to come and knock the door down.... sigh!!!! so many incidences... i was worried that someone has entered our room but luckily nothing was touched... but the mystery of the latched door is still unsolved.... Shocked

... 7th month some more leh.... Wink

but other than that, the hotel staff was friendly and prompt to our request each time(only need to wait few minutes).... and everyone was friendly too but most of the time i was just too shy to mix in as i just felt like everyone there knows everyone already lah... Blush

but one thing that can really improve is to install extension phones in the hotel rooms... then at least we dun need to search around for hotel staff whenever we need them....

PS - Mr Khoo, hope that eveything's OK for you coz u need to leave early... n in the end i still did not managed to get my Tees and stickers from u... so is there any way i can still get them?

Next time must personally remind the webmaster to bring a hailer along.. If not, die lor! Sparkey was the only boxer there right? Lovely brindle colour. Did you guys went swimming? You should have entered Sparkey for the recall. Boxers run plenty fast..

Actually, Mr Khoo did mention to me about the hailer on Saturday evening, quite last minute, we have it but it so happened to be out of order .... he he ... should have told me then I can buy you some beers to replenish your sweet voice Wink

Hi Jac,

I know at least one other member who had problem with the doors.. First of all, she had trouble finding the unit. Even the maintenance lady took some time. The door lock was intermittent in operation until the maint. guy kinda found a screw loose. Once tightened, then only it work as it should.

I believe our group was the 1st to occupy these units. Nevertheless, this feedback should be useful for Kathleen to highlight to the management. Other than that, I hope your stay was a pleasant one... And next time, don't be shy... let your doggie do the talking and ice breaking!

I believe some folks are alreay asking for the next trip already.. Smile

Penang or the highlands resorts seemed to be the popular destination this time.

Stay tuned.. and yes, wished you were there to join us. You should have seen little Moca. the 3+ month old Mini Schnauzer puppy.. he made it all the way to the finals of the longest stay contest, and came in 2nd place. Everyone was just absolutely amazed at his concentration towards his kibbles..placed a few feet in front of him. Nothing shook his attention away..we put so many distractions like people and dogs walking in-front, behind, basketball and tennis ball bouncing away.. (gosh, we don't even do this things for the real exam!)

Little Moca in his cute blue puppy dog outfit just sat there and stared at his kibbles..Mouth watering already.. I was prepare to call it a draw between him and Ranger, a black lab. Eventually, when we asked the owner to step backwards into the crowd, then only little Moca broke his stay and came forward to eat the kibble. Everyone clapped and cheered for this little puppy...

Here's a pic of him sleeping the sleep of the innocent..after our makan time.. he's dozed off on the dinner table..

Of course, Ranger the black lab is a professional at this game.. Nothing moves him! Here's the 3 winners of the longest stay game.. L to R..Law with Ranger, Ben with Moca, Patricia with Amber.

Next time you know what to do with Pinky right? Yes..get that battery operated mini-fan! And a water spray bottle to cool Pinky down. Smile

The sunset pic was taken at the nearby fishing village beach front. It was high tide in the evening, so we just walked around and snap some pics.

yeah, only boxer there..not much large breed dog there...
boxer, great dane, the heavy vehicle(bull mastiff), alsatian anfd a few more...
a lot of small breeds there..

yeah, we went swimming later cos parents went to eat..
so we wait in the room(me n bro)..
actually we went to search u guys but could not find..later came back to the hotel n ask the bull mastif owner...
then we go there n just play for a while..

we did entered sparkey for the recall..
actually, the first timelah..so no experience...
she ran to the next person instead of me..
next time we plan to use her fave ball to attract her...

neway, nice talking/chat with u during that day...

hey, ur not the only one there complaining..
me n parents talked to a few member n said that they were unsatisfied with the service provided..
the big problem is no phone...
there is no shampoo in the bath room also..
no kettle in my room and the towel smells one kind..
u know those damp smell??

but the activities i have no complain..
all turn out to be good..
therefore means good job to the committe member !!! Wink

yeah, i also din get the t-shirt from mr.khoo...

I, correction, my entire family (even moody teenage sis) had a great time, even with (baby) Bern in tow. Sheeri and Monty have never been so exhausted in their lives and Sheeri really loved swimming in the sea. So I'll have to second the trip to Penang so she can have another go in the sea.

We would like to thank all the people who worked so hard to make the trip a reality. It was great to meet like-minded people in the flesh and see all the dogs having fun. My aggresive little monkey (Monty) even began to accept other dogs approaching him.

BTW, the angel dog is Ella.
