i'm so happy today!! went to pay her a deposit for my little puppy...i asked her plenty of questions and she didn't hesitate to answer me and was willing to show and tell me lotsa info... she gets really excited answering and telling about her pups too...
i'm getting her this weekend coz the breeder says my little puppy just got her jab so she doesn't want me to take her just yet... her adult dogs can do all sorts of funny and cute tricks like u go bang and they will pretend to drop dead...really cute!!
anyway my puppy is light brown and white...her brothers are tri colours...her markings are pretty nice and symmetrical... so i guess thats ok right...white spot on head and tails and mouth area... the nose isn't that flat as you said...she did say that they would have breathings difficulties too...
oh and her adults weigh about 5 kilos...and my puppy is the bigger one...

Yah, need to potty train. How I train my Willy ah... when he was a small pup, we always bring him to newspaper. You can take a bit of newspaper and soak a bit of her pee on it. Then everytime she wakes up or after a meal, place her on the newspaper and say a command like "pee" or "toilet". I use Aw Liew. Everytime she do on newspaper, make happy sounds and sayang her and play with her.

Still quiet ah? Have you brought her to the vet for a check up? Better bring coz it's important that all new puppies when bring home ah, better do a normal check up at the vet.
If eyes are clear, nose is wet and the gums and tongue are pink, she's ok.

oh she's still quiet but today she played with the ball i bought her...and she keeps chewing this old soft toy.... her nose and tongue all ok... today i took her back to the breeder to get her deworming medicine so maybe thats why she still quiet....but when she went back ah she was so happy and kept running around following the breeder.....so we have concluded really "yau wat ching" la....
giving her some time lor....she still peeing all over...pang sai also....maybe coz still young...only 6 weeks...maybe next month can buy her baju...
the breeder only took her to the vert on Monday and i took her on Thursday...i think her health should be a ok...

Ohhh... hahah... means she homesick only hehehe... aiyoh, so cute wan. I find the shih tzus love to chew anything soft like cloth. Mine like to chew on my old pair of shorts hahahah.... great thing is, when I say "where's your pupu?", my Willy will straight for the shorts and bite, chew and shake it.
Hah! 6 weeks only... no wonder she still pee and poo everywhere lah... learn slowly wan... some puppies can learn where to pee and poo in days... some take weeks...But basically is just constant reminders loh. I always take my Willy out every 3 hours when he was a puppy to see if he got pee or poo. Now ah, I just say "aw see" or "aw liew" ah, he will fun to the grass in the garden to do his business heheheh...
Nope, don't take my dogs to OB classes. I do them myself at home...

sorry sorry empty msg...anyway...today she's more energetic already....but at night la...day time she still wanna sleep a lot...and she pee on my bed lerrrrrr
anyways i'm just glad got a bit of response la...bought her doggy treats also...then today gonna go get her a bed...she makes lotsa noise when she has to sleep outdoors at the balcony and she will climb back into the house.....hehehe....and she poos in here too...sigh...
now my priority is train her to pee/poo and to respond to her name...she doesn't seem to understand...my dad even thought she may be deaf...

Hahaha... sounds like she will be a good pup lah. The peeing and pooing is a bit of a challenge. Do you cage her? My Willy used to be taught to use the crate as punishment. My friend's dog uses the cage as a toilet hahahaha..... Oh Oh... shih tzus love to be with their owners at night. Mine sleeps in my room. You don't really need to buy doggy beds that are so expensive. They love the big soft human pillows heheheh... mine sleeps on my old sleeping pillow and he loves it.
Nah... won't be deaf. White puppies maybe deaf lah but rarely seen in shih tzus.

Oh... you know why she doesn't dirty her cage? Heheheh... dogs rite, they have this instinct, which is they do not dirty their drinking, eating or sleeping place. They will dirty other places but those places. Some dogs have no choice so if locked up in the cage for long hours, they will pee and poo inside. As time goes by, it becomes a habit for them to pee and poo inside a cage. All this is mainly habit. Teach her a good habit and she will learn it for life!

ohhh...no wonder....today she seems more active but when ask her to come she jalan halfway then stop...hehehhe...very cute...then i gave her some treats and teach her to sit...dunno if she really learn it or coz she just want the makan....now afternoon she's sleeping again....

oh no...thats so sad..my friend's doggy also got heart disease...his name was popeye..the vet say he was too old liao...(10yrs) and ah seems like his heart got worms wor..he died already...but don't be sad...it happens...just sayang him more now lor...and feed him vitamins? what else did the vet say wor?
Well, the vet said his heart is a bit big now and cannot pump the blood properly, no worms but is just that his heart pumps the blood so hard and so irregular, it is making his body tired and his heart very weak. So now on some heart drugs to stablize his condition. Cannot cure but the vet said I can prolong his life maybe 2 more years.... Also have to feed him 100mg of Vitamin E everyday plus the heart drugs.
Sigh... I grew up with him.... feel like loosing a part of myself now.... but 11 years is long. I hope he still can go on for 2 more years.

Sadly... Willy is not with me anymore. He has left yesterday to join big doggy heaven. I miss him so so so much.... Sigh.... I now feel very empty without him.
