obedience class training or train at home?

Is it really necessary for my dog to go for obedience classes to get proper training or can i just train him at home. If i have the time i would love to bring him for these classes but due to time restrain, i have no choice but to train him at home. I have a 5 months old, male golden retriever.

Tricks that he manage to do:

1. sit (he knows this command when he's just 4weeks old :) )

2. stay

3. down (sometimes)

4. hand/paw

5. after i pour food into his tray, he'll wait for my command before he eats. Same goes to when i open his crate he'll wait for me to say the magic word "ok" before he comes out.

6. did'nt really teach him to heel, but if i take him out for a walk, most of the time he'll just walk by my side.
