Hello I have a friend who points his TV remote at his Golden Retriever every time it starts barking, with the hope that he can turn down the dog's volume. My friend spends a lot of time on the couch. His dog spends a lot of time barking. Welcome to Day 3 of our 6-Day Course, on solving your dog's problem barking. This link will take you there: http://www.kingdomofpets.com/...letters/news0274.php Barking is a dog's most overt mode of expression. They bark to express themselves to other dogs, to other people, or simply to express their deep sense of emotional angst when they are all by themselves. I often get dog owners who have no trouble getting their dog to quiet down when they are around, but have all the trouble in the world keeping their dog quiet when they're away - at least this is what their neighbors tell them. In this segment of the 6 Day Course, I not only address both scenarios, but also provide thorough explanations of what's motivating your dog to bark. After all, *dealing* with the barking dog requires *understanding* the barking dog. So let's get started. Kind regards, Daniel Stevens SitStayFetch No Buying! No Selling! No Breeding!
