Hi Ann,
The 3 coat types for JRT are Smooth, Broken, and Rough.
The smooth one has short hair that is sleek and sticks to the body.
Broken is slightly longer and generally found around the muzzle, legs, and neck areas, therefore giving the dog a slight fuzzy look.
Rough is most distinguishable in that it gives the dog a hairy look with much longer hair around the face and whole body.
