I love scotties, westies and all the other short legged, "bloody-minded" terriers. Once when I had to go away, my westie Gus made my sister sleep in my bed and in my sleeping position because that was how he liked it!!!
Cute to me but very uncomfortable for my sister who didn't sleep all night (Gus growled everytime she tried to make herself more comfortable) and went to work the next morning with a stiff neck, sore back and a headache. The next night, he decided that her efforts weren't "enough" when she tried to accommodate him, barked at her to make her leave my room and go back to her own. Then he followed her to her room and barked at her for most of the night before going back to my room to sleep, exhausted. My sister was relieved and Gus was so happy when I got back. How can anyone be mad at someone with such distinct tastes, preferences and such an incredible ability to make his opinion and choices known??!!
I had a GSD before - Benjy - and he was obedient, loyal, very loving and a great companion but somehow he was just not as fun, funny and just plain entertaining like Gus. I hope I can always have a westie in my life.
