Yes, that is what I am trying to say ... cannot be sure what is causing the "boils" ... they may be old or new bites which have become infected ... or reinfected by swimming in not so clean water ... or they may be swellings caused by cysts ... they may be growths or tumours ... you need to get a vet to examine Abby ... If the infection is deep-seated then applying home remedies may not solve the problem & reinfection will keep happening ...
Maybe Chelsea does not have the problem because Abby was the one bitten, and therefore Chelsea has no open cuts or wounds ... Maybe Chelsea has better skin condition or immunity etc etc ... Many possible factors ...
So, if the swellings still haven't gone down - do seriously consider taking your dog to the vet ...
