Mr. Poompitak‘s involvement with Schutzhund started in 1996 when he became a member of East Coast Working Dog Club of Canada, working with Rottweiler puppies. While overseas, he attended many Schutzhund seminars and trials including The Canadian National. Upon his return to Thailand, he was appointed Training Warden of SV Thailand and was instrumental in organizing and judging several Schutzhund Trials including the King’s Cup Schutzhund Competition in Thailand. He has in-depth knowledge of Schutzhund Trial Rules and has translated the SV Rules as well as several books on Schutzhund into Thai. Mr. Poompitak, who is wide known as Poom,  is fluent in English and Japanese, and was at one time a University Lecturer. His other interests are Japanese Culture, Martial Art and Police K9 work.

Mr. Poompitak was the Judge for both the first Schutzhund I Trial and Agility Trial held in Malaysia which were organized by Puppy.com.my held in conjunction with the Malaysia Dog Olympic Day.
