Dear all,

Just got this fantastic book on training dogs... Tongue

It is called "Dog Tricks:Step By Step" by Mary Ann Rombold Zeigenfuse... http://www.amazon.com/...v=glance&s=books

Its got a step-by-step guide on how to train your dog from basics (sit,down,stay,wait) to really neat tricks like "find keys" and even "dancing"... Sly

I really love this book as it helped me understand my dog's personality before I attempt at any training. It tells you about what kinds of drive your dog has (Prey,Pack,Defense/Fight,Defense/Flight) so that you can train it. Laugh

hi there!

totally agree with you on that book! i bought the book months ago and i have taught my schnauzer a few tricks too!! just yesterday i was showing her the way to hold the treat on top of her nose and hang on there till i say i said the magic word "OK"! then she would just bend her and get her reward. the aurthor has showed so many tricks in this book that we can't practically use every one of them so we gotta know our dog personality fisrt before attempting any trick so it would be more easier and faster for them to learn.

very good buy if you got the patience and time .

how much does the book cost?
i noticed many books regarding dog's health or training are all very expensive.
so usually i'll just borrow from the library or spent few hours sitting at the MPH to read it.
haha.....

You can get it from MPH. Wink

The book is pretty expensive at RM60+... I think. Can't really remember the price now... Blush

but not really that extensive as this book. Tongue

My prev co's boss loved to read... He used to go to the UM bookshop and just buy books like mad... Tongue

He will spend about up to RM1000 on shot!! Shocked

...

Over here... Boss will "complain" if buy books too often...
