Specialty Shows	Can't Post

Hiya, was wondering how many Eng Cocker owners there were out here in Malaysia who show their dogs? Was reading in a book somewhere that in the USA they have different divisions for cockers, the Blacks and Black-n-tans, the solid colors apart from blacks, and the parti coloureds. Do they have that kind of categorization here in Malaysia, or we dont have enough cockers showing to have that?

There are many many Cocker exhibitors around in Malaysia. Just to name a few, Dennis Lim, Susan Chong, Kenneth Chuah, Irene Chen, Albert Cheam, Richard Ng, Desmond Leong, etc..... But, some still show, some don't show, some show occasionally etc.

Eng Cockers are not divided into their varieties. They are judged in one single breed in every where of the world. The one you mentioned, Black, ASCOB and Parti is AMERICAN Cocker Spaniel. The American divide them into three varieties and there will be a BOB winner of each variety presenting in the Gundog Group.

In Malaysia, our Am. Cocker Spaniels are only shown in one breed and no other varieties. It is just USA shows in three varieties.

Oh, thanks for clarifying. Hey shame... how come they split Americans up but not English? I have a red and white cocker, hope judges here appreciate parti coloreds Smile

... do you know of parti coloreds winning in the show ring here? SHe is very very pretty - but doesn't look the classical Lady and trh Tramp-ish...
