I am back! Can't Post

Hi Everyone,

Long time no chat! How's everyone ?
I have been busy , busy, busy , busy ....

So here I am again the same old (yes old) Cheng See .

Got a favour to ask.
I will be spaying Coco and Kiddo tomorrow.
After a long though I decide to bring them to be spayed at SPCA. I might be exposing them to a big risk and I am dead worried. Will appreciate any form of well wishes and prayer for Coco and Kiddo.

Thank you.

Cheers
ChengSee

Many doggie cheers,

Cheng See

Re: [May] I am back! [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi May,

I guess I have been hearing 'stories' behind on what happen during spaying.
I guess the areas to worry about ....

1) Mainly Over loss of blood (don't have dog blood donation in M'sia yet) .
2) Inffection after operation
3) Anesthatic overdose (just like human being going for an op.)

But many have told me as long as the dogs are not on heat (expanded uterus) the chances of loss of blood will be minimum.

Anyway I guess in all operations there is always the worry huh ?

So that's your main concern. I can tell you not to worry too much. Relax....you only have to make sure not to allow the dogs to up and down for the next few days after the operations. Anyway, after the operations they don't even wanna move around. The wound will heal in about 2 weeks.

I sent my dog for spaying when she was 7 months old. I even called the vet when she started to lick the wound until it turned reddish. But the vet told me not to worry to much. So I applied some oil on the wound to ease the itchiness.

Hey Cheng See

Good to see you ... hope things go well for Kiddo and Coco. My Emmy never has like the vet since I took her to get spayed. I don't think she's forgiven me yet Smile

Hi Friends,

Coco and Kiddo is recovering. Yesterday they were asleep all the time. Woke up to vomit from time to time Frown. I gave them a sip of water from time to time. Today they have came out of the anesthetic but seem to be feel the pain (from the way the move). Coco has been smiling Smile to me from yesterday to today. Wander if the op. has made her more smiley Wink. Just gave them some food , Coco refuse to eat unlike Kiddo who ate up the food.
Will keep you all posted on their progress.
Will have to monitor (according to the vet) them for the next 10 days and not let them play. Have to take them out for wee wee every few hours in a leash so that they do not run around. Have to keep them in their cage to seperate them from playing. Main concern is Belle that always loves to play rough and jump on them. So have to make sure Belle did not get near to them. Have to put Coco and Kiddo each in their own cage entire day. Poor soals but as the vet says it is for their safety.

Many doggie cheers,

Cheng See

It was an excellent decision to spay your dogs Smile I'm sure they'll be fine in no time. My Doberman was a bit quiet for 2-3 days after she was spayed, but after that, she was fine. Thank God she didn't try to take out the stitches!

Hi CDMoo and friends,

Coco and Kiddo is doing well. Thank you.
Have been looking at their stiches daily. Still look pink , guess they have been licking it when I am not watching. Poor things they desperately want to run around but it is a No No for the time being.
Thank you all.

Many doggie cheers,

Cheng See

Hi Boon,

Ha good you still remember the ticks collar. Wink

Have just came back from Germany and has been very busy moving for the past one week. Yes, I still have the collar with me and early November would not be a problem. Just let me know once you have ur date confirmed and we can maybe meet in PJ or maybe we can all have another gathering during ur trip down here?

KBS
