hai!	Can't Post

i'm new here.

err...just adopted a miniature pinscher last fri. His name is leo, very skinny one, dunno what his ex-owner did to it. He is very shy but energetic, like his another name-little deer dog, if not mistaken.

Leo is now with my parents in Melaka. Will go home next tue to visit him.

His ex-owner said he refused to eat since the maid left but when i fed him, he ate a lot.

Leo likes tuna n Pedigree's chicken n beef chunk.

One problem is i noticed that sometimes leo shivers altough he is not cold. My fren told me it's worm problem, is it?

Just started to rear a dog, need lotsa advice from experts.

I appreciate if anyone can offer help or guidance.

hie welcome to the forum!...

y dont u try feeding him raw chicken neck to help clean his teeth or dry kibbles....wet tin food will cause tar tar in his teeth.

shivers when not cold?..maybe his still adjusting to u all..and might be frighten from diffrent environment Smile

tartar?i've checked already got in his teeth. i bought something which helps to prevent tartar formation n smelly breath, forgot what it called, sth like bone one.

Leo is very cute, the bone is too hard for him, he couldn't break it into small pieces, get angry n bark at the bone, ha!

Its condition is improving after few days with us. Leo even starts to play with me n my dad, ha!

I hope it can gain more weight, can see his 'pai guat' now, u know. At least not too skinny.

dunt worry too much abt being too skinny as long as Leo is healthy Smile

..and he has just came home to you a few days..so just feed him accordingly and you will see him gaining weight very soon !! Wink

Any photos of him yet???

Wish you a warm welcome to this board.

Do you go & consult a vet? I don't know what problem leo has. Maybe it's the ex-owner's fault, I think.

Follow the rules, play nice and you can get a high rank without reregister.

MinPin does not like cold places... that's why if you give them cloth, they would love to sleep on it. This might be one of the reason especially if you keep him indoor air-cond place or on cold floor.

No, i didn't keep him in indoor air-con place or on cold floor.

I give him cloth too. His nose is not cold.

I keep him outside, backyard. Leo likes sunbath.

asks my sis to bring her digital cam home so that i can take leo's pic.

can take his photos before n after to comapare.

welcome to the forum. as like u i'm not very old in this forum yet. there are a lot of info here and u need to spend sometime in each different thread. and of course there r many helping hand here, they will tell u something u don't know not even u browse the all thread. such as for dog health there is a thread there, u might find something u want.
