Pup barks when told "No" Can't Post

Crazy Um... I've a question to ask.

You guys see... my Abby have a very strange habit. She usually don't bark but when she misbehaves and when we say "No!", she'll bark and bark and bark at us.

She'll back off but she'll give us a nip before barking at us again, as if she's angry at us for telling her "No!"

How can I tell her to be quiet and not bark? I don't want her to bark whenever I tell her "No". Is there a way to tell her to be quiet?

Obviously, Abby doesn't understand the word but how to I teach her?

Re: [Twenko] Pup barks when told "No" [In reply to] Can't Post

hm....a tough one..I'm not sure whether others will agree with what i tried on my dog but here goes.

Whenever Nash (months ago) barks for no reason almost the same case as yours,it's either i holdhis mouth and say..No!Shh...or i'll just put my index finger on my lips and say "Shhh!"Luckily enough he understood what i was trying to teach him.Silence command seems to work for my dogs.Hope yours will too
Good Luck!
