HI !! I'm like very very very and very new here and to this forum thingy. So, pls forgive me if there are any funny results from this post.
Anyway, my name's Carrie. Got a 7mths and 6 days,male shih tzu named Sunshine. A bday present from my bf in JB this Apr. I do not know much about caring for him but I know that I love him very much, since the day I met him and want to provide him the best for him. I have read a few books on shih tzus in MPH but still think it's insufficient. I hope that you guys out there can give me a helping hand....
I am looking for a groomer, Klang Valley mind you.... but the only one that I found was Groomingdales and the price for a top to toe is RM 130... And the one in MidValley costs RM 120 !! A little pricey I think, but I'm still open for suggestions... Pls give me your recommendations....
I am also interested in enrolling Sunshine to an obedience training or some basic puppy training... CGC does not hv enough members, so it's not open yet... So, pls guide me also.....
Gosh.... I hope it's not too late to send Sunshine for training...
a warm welcome to the forum and I hope you'll enjoy learning as much as I did here as for the shih tzu gurus well... I'm sure you'll get to learn lots of stuff from them esp on grooming.
As for the groomers..I know some in Subang Jaya.. for a small dog (toy size) they told me they charge RM 60. There are a few here. But I only hv the contacts of 1 or 2. The rest..I think the other S.J ppl should know their contacts (i think)
For training, MKA hv training sessions on Sundays. 10 lessons for one "semester" . Best to call them up to see if when they're taking in new students for the next class. Take note, this class doesn't actually train your pup, as in, you send Sunshine there and they train her for you. They teach you..with your pup then and there on how to train ur pup.

Hello, carrie i always babysat my aunt's shih tzu. she called him dollie.. just don't know why. a boy with girls name.. grooming and bathing is bout 50 only as i can remember. boarding is only 20 buck.
7 mth is still very very young and playful too and especially male... he can b very obedient if proper training is given to him especially together with u...

Welcome to the forum. Hope you find your shih tzu guru here. I have a shih tzu too, Furbie. But I'm not all that knowledgeable in them. Just love him loads. Furthermore, I'm more his slave than his master... But he's a good dog. (Who's dog isn't?)
