Re: [kbs] How was the show in Selayang? [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi KBS,

When will you be back?
Well here's the update on my end ...sad and happy...

Obedience - as expected she failed.
Conformation - Won the puppy, maiden, mal breed ,open only for Bitch grouping. However lost to the male dogs thus did not make it to the grouping.
So Belle is the proud holder of 3 red ribbons and 1 blue ribbon. But no CC was awarded to her.

I heard Arthur's Lee Sha got 3rd at the Obedience. Congratulations!!!!
Keep us posted on the other results .

How did the MIB do at the show Khoo?

Pity we don't have enough time to chat yesterday. Everything was so the "kalam kabut" for me.
I remember seeing Wkser and Josephine, Jason and gf, CD Moo . But did not get the chance to chat.
Sorry guys I was so the 'lost' ie 'kalam kabut'.

Hope to see you guys/gals/dogs again soon.

Many doggie cheers,

Cheng See

Hi ChinSee,

First of all, Congrat on Belle achievement.. I think it is quite good already as she is a first timer on this and I think she deserved a good praised/treats/toy :)
I am only gonna be back this coming weekends, hopefully in time to make it for my doggy training class.

Re: [Khoobg] How was the show in Selayang? [In reply to] Can't Post

hey...I was at the show yesterday, pretty interesting, although I was quite blur as to wat was going on. I didn't know I could bring my doggies for obedience trials...any advice on how to bring them for trials without completely malufying them n myself?
anyway...KUDOS....to all of you for making this show a tremendous success...
By the way...I tried talking to some of the ppl there...wasn't very helpful, kinda "lan si" .... so make me kinda scared to take part too.

Re: [kaerb] How was the show in Selayang? [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Kaerb, I guess most of the participants there are pretty anxious and nervous. Last minute details making sure their K-9 friends perform is on top of their mind. The spirit of competition is so intense I felt. On my way out of the place, a Lab owner actually gave me the leash to his Lab so he could get some water. Talk about trust!! Being a first-timer to the show, your guesses are as good as mine. I was pretty lost myself but the opportunity to watch different breeds in action is very pleasant.

Nice to have you and your wife on our Bench yesterday. I guess the heat made everyone tired. We did not have much time to talk to you as my mind is on the Conformation Show as well as the Obedience Trial.

Why don't you join as MKA member and prepare your dog for the next conformation show as well as obedience trial.

Cheers

Arthur is a master in the obedience ring. The way he goes, you will see him competing in the open category pretty soon.

Re: [les] How was the show in Selayang? [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Les, Wkser and Jasonlyh,

Thank you. I am glad I took part in the obedience also even though I lost. It was an experience for me as now I know what to expect in the obedience ring and I guess the next time I will be more prepared and less nervous. I guess it is time to analyse Belle's failure in the obedience. Will do another posting for this and will welcome feedbacks from those that have seen her perform so that I can work on my/Belles fault.

To answer Les question....
The ribbons was for the conformation/beauty contest in these caterogries...

1) 1st in Puppy for Female category
2) 1st in Maiden for Female category
3) 1st in Malaysian Bred in Female category
4) 2nd in Open for Female category
but when the male dog compete with Belle in the category where she got 1st she lost out to the male dog. Guess the fault lies partly in my inexperience to handle her in the ring as an experience handler can also help to enhance a dogs feature as well as hide the faults. They can also get the dog to run with a nice trot . Matter of fact when Belle was in the ring running behind the male dog she was so the excited that she was jumping instead of running eeerrr I think the male dog must be rather hansome so she is 'chasing after him' LOL. But when she was running in front without another doggie in front of her she is okay. Guess she and me are inexperience.
But I am glad she manage to win the ribbons. Time to start working on her looks. ie get her on her diet, firm up her muscle, etc,etc LOL.LaughLaugh

Many doggie cheers,

Cheng See

CoolThanks Mr Webmaster, Jasonlyh & TohCS. Infacts. I was so surprise, happy & didn't expect it. Well, even a long hours (4 hrs) wait for the final stage, I was really Lucky. The show ended @ 6.45 p.m. Finally, it's over. My doggy was so tired and he slept on the way back & I gave him a surprise dinner with an extra egg.

Also: Many Thank to the Judge from Japan : Mr. M. Tashimo & Mr. H. Nakazawa. (If he sees this website).

By the way, U R most Welcome re-"Yam Char/makan". When? U arrange!! Ha..Ha..ha....TongueWink
