Urine killing grass Can't Post

Does dog's urine usually leave a yellow stain on the grass and kills the grass? Axel seems to be leaving spots all over our grass. Doesnt bother us, we just want to make sure his diet is ok. We feed him kibble with one tablespoon canned meat (each feed) and ....cheese (everyday).

Could it be the cheese? I thought cheese was a good substitute for calcium and milk.

Mine too ... oops.. I mean Rex's urine also kills grass... and I just feed him kibble & threats (also kind of kibbles), no cheese and canned food.
The grass may not die that fast if u give Axel plenty of water. Wink . Becoz from my observation, the yellowish urine tends to kill the grass faster than 'colourless' ones.

Thanks CD. We are reducing the canned meat to less than one tablespoon a day. We are thinking of changing kibble in a month or so. We have reduced his food and ceased giving cheese, because his gait is now sideways (so fat). After we did this, he's looking more proportionate.

I guess that is pretty normal and my pugs also add a great numbers of brownish spots on my green.

hi deli,
Finally, u got Axel uploaded! Certainly a big-boned puppy!
Got some kind of "wet-look" effect , did he just finish a shower or something? Very adorable!

Actually, he is sitting in front of his baby pool (blue color), he was jumping in and out retrieving his toy. Hence the 'wet look'.

There are more pics at www.geocities.com/thevendiren_m . Hubby's website:) which is still being constructed.
