i guess someone could help me on this, i was just wondering why my GSD (f) 6 months named Jamie, her face's colour seem to be getting lighter than last time when she was small? (2 1/2 ~ 4 months)
actually i'm worring about this coz, i hv read a guide book of GSD it written there if the dog's colour became pale / wash off colours is not good. also, if the colour become pale/dead colours that means the dog got health problem.
But, like other mix breed puppy (paria dog) their colour will change when they getting older.
Maybe u guys can help me up on this! especially those who hv own a GSD.

I don't think you should worry so much about this. When puppies shed their puppy fur and grow their "adult" coat, the colour will usually change as well. German Shepherds come in very few colours, but there are quite a number of different shades of brown, etc. Some GSDs are black and tan (that rich brown colour which your pup might have been), and others may be black and gold (which is what colour your pup is probably turning into).

Dear Serene,
Go and check Jamie fur...if look shining or glossy under normal light, you are doing the great job... He is the healthy pup... He just changing his puppy fur...
My Tigger has more white fur now than during his puppy time... and the last vet who saw him thought he is an old dog at first glance... I feel so embarrass to correct the vet by telling him that Tigger is just about 2 years old....... an old dog.... patut lar Tigger don't like the vet at all... Hahaha...
