How do you keep your dog odour "less" ? Can't Post

Hi guys,

Just a simple question above.... how to keep our darlings odour-less ? other than giving them a bath every 3 or 4 days or giving them some cologne. Any more ideas ?

cheers,
minglmy

As long as they don't lick themself and sweat then I don't think they'll be smelly....

Previously I did use a shampoo for my maltese and the smell last bout 1 week before her next bath. Forgot what's the brand name but it smells like coconut.

garlic pills work to cut down the dog's odour. can be purchased from pet shops. reduces bad breathe and poo odour too.

Hey ming yang, Smile

yah li ping is right - garlic does help. Another thing to do is to make sure you clean their ears well. most doggie smell comes from their ears...

Mocha is a hyper kiddo - jumps a lot and loves to run like a mouse on being chase by a cat ! so I'm sure she sweat a lot.

As for Summer, he is really a darling ! so sweet and adorable juz sit still most of the time so unlike Mocha girl.

Hi Ming Yang,

U don't have to worry about Mocha sweating because all dogs don't have sweat glands and they can't sweat from the body!! Smile They 'sweat' when they pant...tongue releases heat mah Wink

The smelliest parts are always their doggie breath and their ears Smile

Hi swee eng,

I use baby powder on Sparkle after his bath and brushing. Just dust it all over his body and rub on his belly. I learnt this while I was browsing the internet for tips to groom a Japanese Spitz

Smell good, and they feel good too Wink

Hi Ashley,

Nope, Sparkle doesn't lick it off.

I read from a website giving tips on how to groom Jap Spitz. They said putting powder at the belly area is good because our furkids lie on the floor everywhere. As for the fur...I also dunno why they said put powder and rub into body. Then let them shake the excess off. Smile

But I do that each time I bathe him now because he smells good!! Tongue Also he's white mah....I think Tyler's Bizkit the Rottie if put baby powder she'll look like ah mah already (grey hair) Crazy
