Doggy's Stamina Can't Post

SmileHi all

I have a 18-week-old Bullmastiff pup and I walk him 1-2 km in the morning ,1-2 km in the evening and 1-2 km at night at the moment. Is this too much for him? What is the proper amount of exercise for this large breed?? I'm really worried about his bone/joint growth..

hi,

i think as long as u don't RUN him for 1-2 kms twice a day it should be okay. a slow walk wouldn't harm much unless u see the dog begin to lag behind and pants heavily..

how long does it take to walk the 1-2 km? normally i only walk my dog for 15 minutes... i get bored easily while he's having fun :/

lol...nah...don't run him..Tongue

i think it's around that amount of time..coz i usually walk abt 1k to a padang..let him run around then walk back.

erm..not exactly sure if the lags behind or not coz halfway he'll just stop and sniff something while i'll just continue walking. When he's done sniffing,he'll just walk the same speed as before.

bored..hm..ok lar..i like going for walks so i'm alright. Unless I'm really bored(same route, same padang, day in,day out) then i'll change the route and go to another padang further away abt 2-3 k

hi,

nah.. sniffing is not laggin'.. i mean lagging like, couldn't catch up.. slow speed.. dragging behind. all dogs love walks.. so i suppose 1-2km wouldn't be much of a problem.

He was a Bullmastiff. Jogging = running = panting
