I come from Sungai Petani, Kedah. I'm looking for a dog now. I wish to have a golden retriever coz i think it is an obedience dog and look great. But the price are quite a problem for me.. Do u guy know what else dog are also obedience ?? Recommand to me please, thanks a lot!

Hi, Welcome again... I own a Golden, she is a wonderful pet I have ever had!! Want to make it clear: Don't go for look and price. Review your lifestyle before you buy a dog. eg. if you can't wake up early, don't get dogs/ cats, instead get a hamster or turtle. Dog wakes up very early morning, and it would be "disaster" if you can't compromise to him. They need exercise eveyday. If this is not your lifestyle, you'll get more frustration and would end up sending away. This should never happen!

Secondly, you're looking for a pet and preferably a golden cos it's obedient? Well ... any dogs can be obedient if you train it. Even if you don't train the golden, it can be a nightmare to you...
It takes a lot to care for a goldie...the grooming,the food,your time,energy...etc...because golden is of a larger breed..basically the food a golden eats can be as much as what a human consumes...another thing is they don't just sit around while you are at work...some munch on their paws/hands...some bite the stuff at home...just because of boredom...it's gonna drive you mad if you are not fully aware or prepared of a golden's characteristics...and they have attitude problems like human too...the closest i can compare with a golden is human...the pros are they are fun to be with if you have the time,they have the 'energizer' energy to play with you,they love children esp girls....and they are definitely beautiful..
I think you might need to check our more about goldens...here, some members regularly post informative threads on certain breed...you can check em out...
don't get a dog bcoz of their look.... do take into account the monthly expenses on the food n supplements n vet visits, time for grooming n accompany it ... it's kinda lifetime commitment
Hello...Welcome here....I have a shih tzu...She is cute and obedience too!!Sure you will get a lot of suggestion.But the most important is which one r u really interested in???There's no point if u purchase those u don't like but cheap...Coz u will regret soon.So the first thing is u have to ask yourselves which one is your love ones and u will really take care and give trainning.Hope this will help you to make decision easier.

I like dog a lot. But, i think i only know some basic things about dog. What type of dog u guy will recommand to a newbie who want to have her first dog? I do think of labrador before, but i didn't found any.
Lately, my family recommand me about dalmation. Anyone here have a dalmation? What do u guy think about this breed? Tell me more about it please, ok??
Hi bb, welcome to the forum perhaps u can check out www.yourpurebredpuppy.com to read some pro and cons of any dog breed. it has some good info for newbies. and another thing like the other members have advised keeping a dog is a life time commitment make sure your fascination for the dog of your choice lasts that long. good luck in your quest!
bout an obedient breed..there are alot of obedient dogs out there..with patience you can train ANY dog to be an obedient and well behaving pet. and yes..even mix breed dogs. ,-._,-. \/)"(\/ (_o_)
