Tigger is about 3 years old.... During his puppyhood, I have make a big mistake... I never let him has a social life... So, now he only let his family members near him...Good part is he always alert everyone if any stranger near our house or the main road which is visible from our home.... Bad part are when the female next door on heat... My god, she has a lot of 'boyfriend' come to visit her... Tigger will bark until he lost his voice.. yes even without his voice he is still barking at them...
We never caged him and only chain him when we have visitor. My question is how to training him to be more social? Any cure? Tigger and I will be very happy if anyone can give some us tips or way to cure him.
There is nothing much you or anybody could do. First you heard the story about teaching an old dog new tricks? Even though your dog is fully socialised, and the female next door is on heat and there are suitors dropping by surely you don't expect Tigger not to protest? Every six to eight months I am afraid you'll have to put up with this ruckus, unless you approach your neighbour politely and volunteer to spay their bitch at your expense or give her a jab of 'Suppestral'. This is my best tip and sure cure. Any good?
Haiyo, volunteer to spay for them is out of question... cos I saw them sold puppies to ppl... they might think I try to stop them to make extra $$ ...
