Dog Language Can't Post

There is a house in my neighbourhood, with 1 male golden retriever, 1 female golden retriever and 1 dalmation.

It is very interesting to note that everytime you pass the gate, and all 3 are in front..the male retriever gets up and runs to the gate, but DOES NOT BARK.

He then looks at the dalmation, which then gets up and starts barking from wherever it is! lol. The female golden just gets up, stands and looks but does not participate. And it is the same each time you go by. Even if the dalmation is not around, the male retriever just stands at the gate and barks once (very softly to 'call' the dalmation) and then the dalmation comes charging from wherever he is, and barks and barks.

Dog language is indeed amazing.LaughLaugh

Sounds like the male Goldie is the leader of the pack, and the dal ...a follower

With a few dogs, there's always a pecking order. I've seen this happen in my neighbourhood before Smile
