Welcome to the forum. Y u looking for St. Bernard? It's really hard to take care, my fren keep 1 at JB, he put her in a big air-coned room bcos she is big n need larger space to move, grooming twice a week so the flur look nicer(it cost a lot), giveng her foood which u may give to 3-5 normal size doggie, n some more the 'liquid' from her mouth....
Do prepare n research well b4 u get the St. Bernard, btw, hope u can get ur dream dog soon. Cheers
Thanx guys for the warm welcome. The main reason why i chosed to get a St.Bern is becoz of its rare , adorable looks and the size too. I saw one at kemaman last week and got some info from the owner about these dogs. The owner got this dog as a gift from his fren at Puchong. He advised me to get the local ones (3rd generation) instead of the imported ones as those imported breeds will haf trouble couping wif our weather. As I m a beginner in all this , i would appreciate if u guys recomend to me other breeds apart from st.bernard. I m trying to get as much info as possible before i commit myself in having a dog or two. :)

Hi Revz, here are some example of large breed dogs.
Large breed (short hair) 1. German Sherperd 2. Rottweiler 3. Bulldog 4. Bullmastiff 5. Boxer 6. Labs
Large Breed (Long hair) 1. Chow Chow 2. Golden Retriever 3. Collie
Hope those helps you. Btw, keeping a large breed dog means you need alot of space and time. Space to allow them to run and exercise also time to allow time to take a walk. Also money for food, they really eat alot
