My 10-week-old Yorki-poo has major separation anxiety. I like it that he follows me around the house, but There will come a time when he will have to be by himself. If I am on the bed, he has to be on the bed. When I get off the bed, even for a moment, he is off the bed too. If I try to take a shower, even if he is in the bathroom with me, he cries. Should I try to calm him down when he does this or will that encourage him? I don't want to crate him too soon because I want him to think of his crate as a safe place, not a punishment or scary place. The only time I can leave him alone is when he is sound asleep. Will he just grow out of this? HELP!
