Hellooo all, WOW, what a great site this is ! And home grown as well ! Am very proud !!! Im Deli and my hubby is Thevin , and we had a golden retriever pup, which we euthanized because she contracted the canine distemper virus and we couldnt stand to see her suffer. It was very heartbreaking to see a 2 month old pup get fits and then yelp in pain afterwards. We took her to the vet 5 times, but it wasnt fair to the dog. ( Does anyone else go to Dr Yeoh in Taman Megah? he's honest, straightforward and really good!) But we are planning to get another golden retriever in june/july,... and i want a white shepard one day too ! (hehe) ( hear hear Leo !!) We live in Subang and some of the ppl in the neighbourhood have St Bernards, dalmations, spaniels, GSDs, rotties and of course, our infamous "West Malaysian Hounds" -thats the name my husband has given all mongrels ! At the moment I dont have any dog issues (since Leo has been extremely helpful in the emails a big thank you from the both of us )! However, my cousin has a 6 yr old male rottweiler called Slash, which has NEVER been socialised with other dogs or sent for obedience training. He's loved by the family and my cousin "communicates" with him all the time, i.e lies down with him and puts his head next to the dogs head and talks into the dogs ear softly !! My cousin is overseas at the moment ( he is the one that relates to the dog the best). His family has found a stray puppy last month ( in the drain!!!) and have decided to keep it. its a male, spitz mix (according to the vet). They let me name it and its called Sniper (hehe, Slash and Sniper maaah, sound good together!), but when Sniper is in Slash's view, Slash gets VERY exicited and uncontrollable. everyone in the house is sure Slash will kill Sniper if he can. I read the postings on jealousy by Leo, but would the same methods work in this case? Oh, and they are planning to move house in 2 weeks, would that affect the introduction in any way ? ( Since Slash has been the master of the house all this while ?) thanks guys! have a great saturday night ! deli and thevin :) PS - Is there a pool that allows dogs to swim, in KL or Klang?? Ive bought an inflatable one for my "future" pup when shes at least 6 months old, but has anyone taken their dog for swims here? ( I dont want to go to PD, am afraid of tides and waves !!)
