The huge green lung area in OUG has been proposed to be developed as follows :-
a) Highrise condominiums with a total of 1,276 units; b) Another 3rd highrise block of 211 units of condos beside SK Sri Indah; c) A shopping mall; d) sewage pond; e) highway right behind the semi-d houses.
The existing wide walkway beside the main road (Jln Awan Besar) is nice for walks with our furkids. Many residents in OUG are opposing the mass development which will increase the population density from the current 60 to 400 people per acre. If you are staying in OUG, Sri Petaling, Bkt Jalil and Tmn Yarl, you can see for yourself the speed of trees being cleared in many areas. One of the area that they will be clearing is right beside the highway for a primary school (which also caters to special needs kids) to be built.
If you can, please help by forming groups and put your objections to DBKL before they start cutting down more trees. Do this now - for our kids.
