Eating STONES... Can't Post

Is it normal for a dog to eat stones??

I've read that some animals do that to help their digestive track..

I just found out that Tyson eats small stones/large sand (??!) Pirate But it comes out the other end. He has a healthy apetite and is doing well..

Is there a cause for concern?Unsure

Wah Lau!! I never knew it's a good thing to eat stone.... wouldn't it be difficult when they poo poo?? It might also open to the risk of internal injury as it may cut them inside and you don't have a clue!

Hi Jaz Smile

That's what I'm worried about too..cutting them internally..

I guess it's ok to eat really small sized stones if you're dogs having digestive problems (nature's way of solving the problem)

I think I know why Tyson's eating stones. He eats sooooo fast! Then get hiccups. I think the speed of his eating is causing digestive problemsUnsure

The small stones would just pass throught their system.

Hi! We own a cross breed dog in our family. He do eat stone too. He is quite big in size, so far the largest door in our neighbouhood Smile. Funny thing is he never have any problem on his poo poo and he really a big eater.

So, maybe you just ask the vet and see what they said. Wink

I think it will help if they are having indigestion.. but too big of the stone might cut them out internally.. better not Crazy

the dogs eyes reflects more light than humans..that's why we get that effect...not sure how to get rid of it. Try not using the flash...
