Itinerary for World Animal Day 4th Oct 2009 - Renewing our Pledge for the Animals
3.00pm – Arrival of VIPS, Sponsors, Volunteers & Guests
3.30pm – Opening Speech by Chairman of SPCA Selangor Animal Shelter, Ms. Christine Chin
4.00pm - Appreciation Awards
4.30pm - Candle Lighting Ceremony & Pledge Writing
5.40pm - Refreshments is served and Open Mic Session for Guests
6.15pm - End of Event
Thanks to all our friends who wrote in through e-mail and Facebook following our call for ideas for World Animal Day! This year, we are gonna celebrate ol’ school style!
Join us on the 4th of October (Sunday) at the SPCA Animal Shelter in Ampang Jaya, where we will mark World Animal Day with a candle-lighting ceremony and gathering of volunteers, fosterers, sponsors, staff and friends. The focus this year (as wonderfully suggested by volunteer Ee Lynn) is on renewing our personal pledges towards animals! Visitors will take home a personal pledge card, and can also share their pledges on a wall set up for this purpose outside the animal shelter!
There will also be Appreciation Awards, as well as a yummy vegetarian tea buffet for all our guests.
Join us for a gathering to remember the plight of animals worldwide, renew our pledges to help them, and honour the memory of animals that have touched our lives!
