Hi Isaac,

My puppy is now coming to 3 months old. His ears still floppy.

May I know how many months a GSD puppy ears will stand erect?

thanks

Oohh, thanks for the info Joe,

The Vet advised me to trim the hair of my puppys's ears as its hair is thick which will make the ears hard to stand.

The vet also mentioned once the ear's soft bone get harden, then the ears will become floppy forever.

How true is it? Thanks

Re: [Johnson] Harness for GSD [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Guys,

as for the ear issues, it really depends. i have seen dogs that ear do not go all the way up, some ear look like butterfly (wide apart), 1 up and 1 down and etc. the things that might help- calcium, raw hide or bones to chew, ear tape but only if you know what you doing. you can take the dog out more often and get your fren to attract his/her attention so to get the ear up on alert. surgery is the last thing you want to do. because the vet will have to insert a permanent plate in the ear. if the gsd is a pet then just let it be because a floppy ear will not affect the health or anything like that.

just my 2 cents.

Hi Isaac

You are right, the pool is at Lima Kedai , a very big kennel by the name of exel pet...... (something like that)

After guided a while by the Nepalis, my puppy is able to swim very well. Last week was my 2nd visit there.

I stay somewhere near Tmn U. The puppy is given by a Punjabi friend from Saleng.

Rgds.

Actually one of my friends husband is breeding Russian Staffordshire in Kulai. She did offer me a puppy at very low price but I dare not keep such aggressive dog. Yah, swimming is a very good exercise for dogs, and also for human being too. But I am worry when the puppy has grown up big enough, what is the best way to carry him in my Sedan car for swimming ?

Appreciate Joe's input. Thanks

Russian Staffordshire?? I never heard of this breed.

Do you mean American Staffordshire Bull Terrier or in short called Amstaff? this breed look like pitbull and have better body build.

Actually I have never heard of this breed before when she told me. This breed is not registered with

AKC I guess. She showed me the photos and it looks like American Staffordshire anyway.
