Hi there, I'm totally new in this forum but I was hoping you guys can advise me on this. I'm staying in a terrace house and work during the weekdays from 8am - 6pm. I want so much to get a toy size shih tzu but I read that it needs a lot of attention. I'm just afraid whether it will be lonely or dangerous to leave it alone in the house during my working hours. I'm not staying with my family, as such, there is no one to tend to it during my working hours.
Plus, I do have allergic problem, will having a dog in the house make it worst?
Any ideas where I can get a healthy pup within reasonable price? Pet houses normally price such dogs at 1k+ while I saw some selling for RM700 online, where is more reliable to get one?
Just wanna get some info on this...thanks in advance .
good that u r checking first before getting a puppy/ dog...
puppies need more of ur time caring for them, because they are just like babies... so if u're working full time, i would suggest u do not get a puppy... an adult dog would be better off in ur case, for instance, adult dogs tend to be able to hold their bladder for longer hours so there would be less accidents in ur house...
i think dog's loose hair will trigger ur allergy problem? please check with ur doctor... but i also know of some people who are allergic to dogs' hair but are still keeping dogs...
if u do decide to get a pet, i strongly suggest u to adopt a homeless dog instead... there are so many dogs in need of a good home these days, not just mongrels, but pure breds too... check out www.petfinder.my, spca selangor or paws...
