Obedience Trial in Ipoh (June 22nd) Can't Post

hi all,

after attending to the last gathering, i've heard that there's an upcoming obedience trial in Ipoh coming around the corner? i just realized it as until now i haven't received any letters from mka.

was wondering if any of the members here are going? anyone know of any hotels that allow dogs to spend the night? please help. last minute, hard to make plans.

Hi Hunter!

Closing date for this obedience trail is on the 18th June (Wednesday). If you still have not received your forms, (I got mine on Friday) just go over the the office and register there.

Venue - St.John's Ambulance Hall, Ipoh (Will post the directions later)

Judge - Mr. Wellington Ho

Time: 9am onwards.

Levels: Pre-Novice,Novice, Intermediate, Open.

As for pet friendly hotels, can't help you there. Anyway, you can drive up early in the morning as Ipoh is only approx 1.5hrs drive away.

hi,

thanks a lot for the input. will go to mka office for registration tomorrow. yeah, probably will make it a one-day trip as it's pretty near - i was only worried the 1.5 hour journey will make him restless.

Re: [ALL] Obedience Trial in Ipoh (June 22nd) [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi All!

Patrica's Amber came in 4th in the pre-novice. Steven's Jacky qualified for the pre-novice level as well. Congrats to them!

In the novice level, not so good news. Both Hunter and Lee Sha did not qualify as Hunter broke the sit-stay whereas Lee Sha moved during the final part of the stand-stay. On the other hand, since we did not qualify, we still have 2 more chances in the novice level!.

The winner of both the pre-novice and novice is a great handler and dog team (James and his Shih-Tzu!) Very high scores as well ie. 99 out of 100 in the pre-novice and 95 out of 100 in the Novice. It was a joy to watch them in action. Great things comes in small packages!

AND congratulation to Pat and Amber for grabbing 4th place! Cool....and also to Steven and Jacky for qualifying the pre-novice Cool

Re: [ALL] Obedience Trial in Ipoh (June 22nd) [In reply to] Can't Post

hello all,

Patricia :sincere congrats for taking the 4th place! very obedient, sitting closely to mama after every halt.

Steven : jacky performed well too, complying to all commands given. don't feel discouraged, this is not his day. he'll strike back the next trial, lol.

arthur : lee sha girl performed really good in the heel exercises, like the judge said "a distinct change in speed is the key of this exercise" - i think she achieved that - she ran when u did ! (that's why i thought you got 4th this afternoon :p)

as for myself, aii, novice already, this silly fellow could actually broke a basic sit-stay. on the bright side, another 2 more chances.. better luck next time :/

found out that hunter is not quite used to long car rides today. will probably skip penang trial :(

hunter

Since Hunter has 2 more chances on Novice Level, it will be good to leave this chances for AKU and MIPE next year where there will be more dogs competing.
