i would like to ask some issues on my dog's socializing problem. My dog, a male Maltese mix of about 2 years old now. I noted that whenever my friend brought her dog, also a male to my house, my "boy-boy" will start exicted. He will wee to the places the other dog has passed by and hiding under sofa when my friend's dog chased after him.
It seems that he don't like other dogs approching him, he will run away when there are other dogs walked around my house. i try to get him a girl friend by matching him with my friend's female dog of about 1 year old, but my boy-boy is so afraid and show his reject by sticking on the wall and start growling.
In fact, i intend to keep another puppy in order to get my boy-boy a companion. However, I have to solve his socializing problem before i introduce him a small brother.
