How to protect leg joints? Can't Post

Hi i have a lovely weimaraner which is a year old . The problem is the skin around his knee joints of his front legs are being calloused. Is there any way to reduce it or even prevent it? Thanks

hi daws,

I'm more interested in your weimaraner than the callous Smile. Where did you get him?

As to prevent callous.. I suggest to prevent him to sit on hard surface.., eg. cement. Why not give him to sit on carpet or some pads... (the blue color ones) from the petshop? You might apply some moisturizing lotion at the joints.. (like the 'Vitamin E' type) . Or to feed him Omega fatty acids & zinc.

Smile
