Before getting a new puppy Can't Post

Hello to all my friends, nice to meet you all Smile
Currently I am looking for a puppy but feel a bit confuse of how to get a good "quality" but reasonable price puppy.
Why this happen because I did spoke to few pet shop owner or sales person and they recommended to get a higher price puppy in order to guarantee for the quality. Is that true? I am don't mind of registered with MKA cert, microchipped........ what I concerned is cheaper price and good guard dog.Frown

Regards,

Anderson

petshop is a wrong place to get a puppy..

what they mean by quality is simply outer beauty...
but they never guarantee you temperament and health

best to locate a reputable breeder. what breed of dog are you looking for?

if you just looking for a healthy pup who can be a potential watchdog for your house, then you can just adopt a mixed breed puppy who often come free of charge.

Thank you for your valuable advise Smile
Why I am asking this because few months back my pitbull died, so now I am looking for a Doberman. I did consider of getting a Rottweiler but afraid of it aggressive temperament as my home got small kids.
For your info, few years ago,I was bitten by my own dog, and it is a mixed breed Unsure

doesn't mean that pedigree won't bite ler... i got 10+ mongrel and i got few mix breed before... they never bite me ler... they're even smarter than my pedigree ler...

how the dog act or behave is sometime depends on the owner ler... dogs won't bite for no reason... there must be something wrong...

The Chinese saying says "once bitten by snake, whole life will be scared of snake"... not, "once bitten by viper, whole life will be scared of viper but not scared of cobra"

So u've been bitten by a DOG, does that mean u'll be scared of DOGS ur whole life??

Adults must be capable of teaching their children how to approach dogs, how to recognise when the dog wants to be left alone, and how not to play with the dog.

Having a toddler and a puppy grow up together is certainly oh-so-fluffy - but the dog will become mature much earlier than the toddler. In such a situation, the dog will see the toddler first as littermate, and then as someone he, the dog, needs to test his strength against.
