Hi Bro,

The dog in the icon is a mixed. It's my first dog (was abandoned by neighbour, I adopted him) which has died last year.

You leh? Is the Corgi in the icon your new dog? It's cute.

Recently I'm busy with the renovation on my new house. So much to do and it's only the begining!

Ya, I need to hand over my current house officially to the buyer real soon. Lucky thing is they buyer is ok for me to delay the hand-over until my house is ready. Pai say to let her wait for too long after all she has paid the money. However, I didn't really push the contractor too hard as I also understand the workmanship won't be good if they are not given a reasonable time frame.

Duchess is cute...........where did you get her? I tot you won't get a dog until you move into the new house? Can't wait ler

Last time my beagle also bit everything. Newspaper will become pieces in only few seconds but she didn't telan them.

My GD got a bit of skin problem recently (not serious, just a bit only). I guess it must have to do with what he eats. Besides the normal dog kibbles, I fed him bread, biscuit, chicken breast, chicken gizzard, chicken liver, chicken neck, many types of dog treats, etc............. Now I have to stick back to dog kibbles only........

Poor Scobby.........he enjoys food a lot but now no more all the treats.........

I notice Scobby cannot be too pampered. Otherwise he will become spoilt........

He was picky too after he came back from the BBQ - maybe he has had some nice food there. He only ate half of the food I fed him - I had to praise him "good boy" then only he "unwillingly" finish all.

He ran off twice when I walked him after that- one time chasing cat and one time chase a small dog. This will only happen every time he's back from somewhere where he had some good time. He needs discipline all the time.

Do you think the spots on his body is serious?

Yah.. Can't wait to have one though.. heheh.. I bought her over the pet store along with my friend.. He's a vet and I asked him to come along when I go and buy so he can check whether she's ok or not.. hehe.. I knew that I should have get from home breeder but so far a home breed for Corgi is not many though.. Or maybe I didn't look hard enough..

Anyway, I should be getting the keys to my new house latest by next month.. so by the time get the keys and move over, she's not too big.. hehe.. Planning to get another one.. I'm still in GR.. hhee.. Wink

Oh.. Does that means Scooby is allergic to something? Could it be chicken? Poor scooby now only can take kibbles.. hehe.. Well, hope scooby will recover soon..

Ya, there are not many Corgi around.....still not so common in Malaysia yet as compared to Hong Kong....They can be very expensive too.

Do you plan to do renovation on your house? If yes, then you have to wait for another month or so...

Some purebreed are very sensitive to what they eat - pug, boxer, GD, etc tends to have skin problem if not careful with their food....

I'm not sure which food Scobby is sensitive to.............safest is to stick to his normal kibbles only........

Local I don't think so unless you go training under a very reputable trainer. Check their qualification and experience. I have met some trainers who say some dogs cannot be helped at all. It is only true to a certain extent where there are dogs that have permanent damage due to very bad upbringing or even torture. But mostly can be cured so if a trainer tells you that a dog cannot be helped you can always be sure they are not very good trainers. I can give you some recommendations for good trainers and if you want to be really qualified then you have to get your diploma from Australia. That's the nearest..

I don't think the spots are serious. It's just secondary infection from what I can't say. Dr will just give a course of antibiotics.I don't think he is allergic to any kind of food considering his age and we have not seen the spots at any other time. Leave it for a while if it doesn't go away then only go see Dr. This time I never pamper him a lot le.. Next time must be stricter with him already..

I will observe and see how the spots go........Like you said, might have to take him to see doctor if they don't go away....

Scobby is like that lah, once he's out, his heart will become wild.......He also tried to run off after the juggle trekking. Will still bring him out but just need to be careful with him for the first few days. Don't want to take away his right go out to socialize.

If there are any other dog social events, please bring Scobby along.

Oic.. thanks for the information.. so far now she's quite ok.. gotten to train her to wait for her food and sit before i feed her.. hehe.. will slowly teach her and see how..

Wah.. need to go to Aus to get the study ar.. hm.. maybe like what you have mentioned, train from a reputable trainier and then see how.. hehe.. can i have the contacts?

I also have been reading this book on how to train a dog to be in good manners.. they are using a technique called play training.. the book is called "The Loved Dog" by Tamar Geller.. but this whole week cannot train her.. she's having some infection on the intestines.. so on diet now.. no treats for her so cannot train ler.. hehe..

you can try calling cheng see 012-2584315 and speak to her. She's a good trainer but if you go to study you will have more hands on experience and it will definitely be a different experience.
