Hi Khengteik ! Interesting questions bout how many dogs per handler ? As many as the handler can handle. That is if the handler is fit, well trained and hv good stamina, any number of dogs is not a problem. In Thailand there r professional handlers that you can hire to handle your show dog/s with a fee/s. Why ? Some dog owners may not know how to handle a show dog well. A good handler can bring out the quality features of a show dog help stand better chance of winning. The person you saw handling 5-6 dogs at the show was probably helping his friends (most probably few owners) competing at different class. There r a few breeds competing in a group. Each breed hv different class, puppy 6-10mths, junior 10-15mths, intermediate 15-24mths, open 24mths above n veteran 6yrs above (both dog & bitches). Not all show exhibitors r BREEDER. However for those show breeders who sell their puppies at a higher price tats probably b'cos some of their show dogs r imported from top overseas breeders at a very high price. A quality show dog is bred from few generations of champion parentage. A good bloodline breed quality show dogs. Without good bloodline, chances of breeding a quality show dog is relatively LOW. If thinking of buying a dog as pet, there r nice pet quality at reasonable price available at pet shops. Where else buying for show purpose, a reputable show breeder offers good quality show dogs of course at higher price. Hope tis enlighten you !
thanks for the info.... but seriously i was very disappointed with those people that entered the dogshow. No RESPECT at all... they cant even wear something decent and presentable... there were non malaysians there and they can wear 3 piece suits with tie... I know its hot here... but at least wear something decent...
the other thing is y must the people there shout like monkeys and hooligans? i really dont get it...
well. i know that not all of them are breeders... but i think i'm not wrong to say that there are a few big time breeders that was there.... but i do not want to comment more on those breeders cos i personally do not like breeders... especially those that has no respect to the association that is giving them the certs for the dogs and also organizing the event.
hahaha true true... shouting like sua pa lau kau oni.... so mempersiasuikan....
DEAR KHENGTEIK
