Does American Pitbull Really So Scary To You? Can't Post

Old man very new here, old man has 37 years experience going along with pitbulls. Had owned more than 100 pitbulls since I started with my 1st pitbull when I was 29 years old. Currently I have total of 25 pitbulls, 24 in thailand 1 in malaysia, to me pitbull is a beautiful dog in terms of everything.

So, does pitbulls mean a devil to you?

Pitbull not scary just afriad it will attack out of of the sudden. That is my concern.

When see a Pitbull at gathering usually will try to avoid them just in case they attack our beloved dogs. You know if kena bite from Pitbull our dog sure injure very serious.

I have nothing against Pitbull.

in thailand, pitbull can be class as one of the most popular breeds. a real good bloodline pitbull will never attack human, but when come face to face with their own kind for sure they will show aggression and attack.

old man owns pitbull for 37 years, NEVER biten by pits. But they do attack others dog which is very sorry to those pitty doggie. I admit.

I only have old man in penang, he is a wonderful guard dog.

No offense to anyone but i think we should not judge a dog by its character. we are the higher beings and we should be in charge of our pets.

before even owning a pet, we should really understand their needs, characteristics and everything we should know about them. not only that, we should also learn about animal's behavior. then we will be able to predict if something is wrong with our pets or something.

i'm not sure if everyone here has astro or not but there is this one episode on animal planet which highlights on cruelty to animals and stuff where a cat was attacked by a pitbull and had his jaw broken and very badly damaged. the owner of the cat said that its not the fault of the pitbull but its their fault that their pet cat is in such a condition. according to him, we as owners should be aware of our animals. and we must not put the blame on another animal because its in their genes that some dogs are more aggressive then others.

Therefore, to me its how we understand the animals and we should learn to understand them n not to be afraid of them.

Pitbulls by nature are very aggressive dogs and are very protective over their owners. I have had experienced pitbulls who wanna attack my mum cos she is scolding me. And yes they do attack weaklings around them. And they can kill a cat in a bite and we can only hear just a squeak and you will see the body next. My pitbulls have killed cockroaches, rats and even monitor lizards. And when they bark at strangers it seems that they wanna tear the gate down Frown Nevertheless i still love them and their love for people who love them are really unconditional.

I have a few questions for you old man. My uncle's pitbull bit him when he tried to carry her babies. But she did not bite me when i carry her babies. Why is that so? Is it cos I love her more? i am not her owner though i stay in the d same house and it is him who feed her not me. Or cos she knows my uncle just wanna breed her for money and just keep her for that purpose? Is it true that if a pitbull stays with the owner (a couple) and they have a baby after some time, the pitbull will attack the baby out of jealousy and fear that the owner will not love it anymore?

Sorry har.. But i also dun really understand their character at times and can only assume. Anyway those pitbulls we have are long dead due to old age. I still miss them at times

Hi yen,

As far as I know, pitbull won't get jealousy, or if they can also very rare. Was it everytime when your uncle trying to touch the pups she will show the teeth?

Hi Old Man Dai Lou,

Have not seen your post since last weekend..., hope you get well soon. Smile

Nope, they're not scary at all unless I can see that they are showing aggression towards people and/or other dogs. But this applies to all other breeds too! I'm currently training two. One female & one male & they both are gentle & very sweet. They both don't have much attention though...

Pitbull is just like other dog, not scary. The only scary thing is pitbull owned by bad owner who do not train or socialise their dogs.
