from pet family Tmn Megah, its from Dor west Herbs Ltd,

this Dor west have quite a range of herbal, homeopathy products,
and looks promising, check out their website.
u can order online, they ship worldwide, there are 2 suppliers from Msia,
dun think they brought alot in, i;ve not come across these products.
and don't think pet family carries it anymore, they've shrunk alot,
only the shop is big...... Sly

Hi.. yeah.. he finished his first 7.5kg pack last week and i bought another 7.5kg pack (Nutro) again and Cali Nat Herring & sweet potato (small pack) last 2 days ago at pet's shop at SS2 ... i wanted to buy Cali Nat Herring and sweet potato (big pack) but they only left 1 small pack so i got no choice but to continue buy Nutro...

Aik.. but i thought i saw it written Lamb Meal.. instead of lamb meat.. ok ok.. i shall go back home and double check again..

Anyway.. he is doing ok with Nutro.. cause his skin is improving after taking at least 16.5 kgs of Nutro..

supplement is not a permanent solution to skin problems
and its not a cure as well.

it is used to improve certain conditions/problems,
so its better for you to find out the cause of the problem.

oils which has high omega 3 & 6 fatty acids fed to improve
skin/coat problems.
im not sure bout cod liver oil's content, u need to dig,
but i know its cheap.

the one selling in sea park is Novacote Plus,
it has the same content as Velcote, it contains
evening primrose oil, Flaxseed oil, etc etc.

100ml is 30RM after discount. Feed according to dose,
don't have to feed that much. check ur dogs' poo, to make sure the oil is not causing loose stools.

Re: [supermutts] natural herb remedy for canines [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi! Just to give my two cents, I use a Dor west product called Keeper's Mix...

I started my doggie on it because I just wanted to supplement her, boost her immunity and health in general... since it's herbal I figured there's not much of a risk of a negative reaction. I didn't really expect any big difference but I must say, there has been noticeable improvement in terms of her coat. Because her tail fur used to be kind of clumpy and not-hanging-down-nicely-like-those-show-dogs, I noticed within a few weeks of starting the supplement that it's now softer and silkier! It hangs down nicely like a little curtain now, hehe... and of course the rest of her coat is soft and pearly... though not as soft as when she was a baby...

Plus, before starting her on it she had some kind of a heat allergy/rash... thankfully it hasn't returned since she started. Maybe because of the herbs, maybe not, I can't be sure.

Anyways, this is just my experience with Dor west herbs so far. I can't tell if it has improved anything else because she's always been a happy bouncy pup. I'll continue giving it to her for the perceived benefits (vitamins, etc) and noticeable ones (nice coat).

Re: [kien29] natural herb remedy for canines [In reply to] Can't Post

the definition of a meal is, it is dry, ie moisture very low, not 100% pure meat, processed. AFFCO definition states that meal are inferior than lamb, chicken. etc.

u see, dog food makers are doing all their best to confuse us.

when they say lamb or chicken, they never use the word meat, y?
cos its never 100% pure meat, altho they will say the meat content will be higher. And lamb, chicken etc, is always a wet ingredient , so other manufacturers who uses meal will say those who use, lamb chicken, is
actually cheating, which is true, cos when they use lamb or chicken as
the 1st ingredient, the weight counts, 1kg of wet chicken won't give u
1kg of dry chicken meat. but 1 kg of meal will almost give u 90% ++ of meal, cos its dry,

but meal as we know is always lower in quality than lamb. chicken,

so the ideal or perfect ingredient should be Dry Lamb meat,
Dry chicken meat, etc, which doesn't contain water.

so far no dog food maker has claim to use chicken meat, lamb meat.
they only state lamb, chicken, etc, they don't dare to use the word meat at all.

seeing nutro claiming to use Dry Lamb meat is really a surprise, cos that is suppose to be the best.

but now their website states its all meal, and u say uve got their
brochure which states meal as well.

i think theyve down graded, not sure the reason, cos i can't seem
to send mail to them tru their site, and they never provide email address.

those nutro in the stores , which has dry meat i think its old stock....

not many shops are selling this product, so u better contact the supplier directly. go to the dor west site, link is posted earlier,
go to the suppliers page, malaysia u will find 2 contacts.

call or email "r i c c a v a l" , (not the animal hospital)
then find out more frm him.

Re: [supermutts] natural herb remedy for canines [In reply to] Can't Post

My dog, who is 1 year 8 months has skin problems. He has really dry skin. I bathe him once a week with warm water and a Tea Tree Ph Control shampoo, but the very next day, he got bumps all over his body. But I don't think it's the shampoo, cause last time i use it nothing happen, why only now? Besides the bumps, his dry skin is peeling off, leaving a red mark there. I think the bumps are painful. I feed him Eukanuba Lamb & Rice, but I see that's not good. Is there any food brand you recommend? And where to get it. Should I take him to the vet? The bumps are slowly going down but it still hurts him. Do you think it could be a bite or something that spread? The last time I went to the vet, he recommend giving him Seven Seas Fish Oil, because he was shedding a lot of fur. I give him in capsules, but it doesn't seem to be working. Please help.
