u r welcome canidae L&R, a few ppl said their dogs dun like it, is it really that unpalatable?? look at the ingredients, it should smell yummy, or maybe the stock here is not fresh at all?? Lamb Meal, Brown Rice, Canola Oil (preserved with Mixed Tocopherols), Flax Seed, Sun cured Alfalfa Meal, Sunflower Oil, Lamb, Lecithin, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Linoleic Acid, Rosemary Extract, Sage Extract, Dried Enterococcus Faecium Fermentation Product, Dried Lactobacillus Acidophilus Fermentation Product, Dried Aspergillus Oryzae Fermentation Extract, Dried Bacillus Subtilis Fermentation Extract, Inulin (from Chicory Root), Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Fermentation Solubles, L-Lysine, Taurine, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Mixed Tocopherols (source of Vitamin E), Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Cobalt Amino Acid Chelate, Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Ascorbic Acid (source of Vitamin C), Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Riboflavin (source of Vitamin B2), Beta Carotene, Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Calcium Iodate, Folic Acid, D-Biotin, Organic Selenium, Dried Papaya, Dried Pineapple, Vitamin B12 Supplement. from the above, u can see there is a lot of extra ingredients like bacteria etc. maybe that's the reason ur rossi kenot stomach it. some dogs can't tolerate food that is too rich. the skin now has dark spots, actually those are tiny scabs, its starting to heal now. nutro natural choice LnR, if u look at the ingredients, Lamb Meal, Ground Rice, Rice Flour, Rice Bran, Poultry Fat (preserved with mixed Tocopherols, a source of Vitamin E), Natural Flavors, Soybean Oil (preserved with mixed Tocopherols, a source of Vitamin E), Sunflower Oil (preserved with mixed Tocopherols, a source of Vitamin E), Whole Brown Rice, Dried Egg Product, Dried Plain Beet Pulp, Potassium Chloride, L-Lysine, Dried Kelp, Choline Chloride, Zinc Sulfate, Vitamin E Supplement, Taurine, Ferrous Sulfate, Ascorbic Acid (source of Vitamin C), Biotin, Copper Proteinate, Niacin, Manganous Oxide, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement (source of Vitamin B2), Vitamin A Supplement, Glucosamine Hydrochloride, Chondroitin Sulfate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (source of Vitamin B6), Thiamine Mononitrate (source of Vitamin B1), Vitamin D3 Supplement, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (source of Vitamin K activity), Calcium Iodate, Folic Acid. its OK, just that there r lotsa rice, in the first 5. poultry fat.... but if u could afford a better dog food like cali nat herring and potato , which has less ingredient, which i think is better for dogs who suffers frm skin/coat problems and food intolerant. http://www.californianaturalpet.com/.../default.asp?id=1326 our poor dogs are not born to eat kibbles, it is us who force them to eat it. so i am in favour of adding a bit of can food to make it more interesting. as long as u can afford it. the breeder's choice can food, not avoderm? eve primrose oil is a good source of GLA(of omega-6 family), so just use it up. normaly, those supplement for skin/coat have a balance of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids. i think i've mistook Novacote (selling in sea park) for velcote, both have the same ingredient i've heard. cos the last time i bought from the vet is Velcote. If u could find velcote its better, else go for novacote, just take note of the expiry date. im goin to sea park today, will check it out. i think u should stop feeding him medcine for this skin condition, should ask ur vet wht are those pills. and the purpose of it. as for pils, u don't just throw it into the dog's mouth or just put it amongst the kibbles, u have to push it gently into the dogs mouth behind the tongue, then the dog will swallow it naturally, there's a way of doing it, ur vet should teach u. No Buying! No Selling! No Breeding! Don't Lost your dogs!! Please make sure they are safe at home!
