Can dog apply Zheng Gu Shui Can't Post

My dog fell from the bed and had a minor injured at her rear-left leg; vet has checked and said no serious injure but she (my dog) still walking with 3/4 legs, which mean sometime with 3 legs, sometime with 4 legs.

I wanted to rub the chinese medical oil - Zheng Gu Shui at her injured leg ....can ? anyone done it before ? any side-effect ?

hi terryf,

perhaps u can try deepheat.... but i am not sure whether will the dog be distrub by the tingling and cooling sensation

watever u apply on your dog, just make sure the dog cant lick it.. it must be poison if digest.

ah...that smelly thingy.

no idea on how it works on furkids...but it worked wonders on my sis when she mad multiple fractures on her legs. it soothed the cramps that she would have every few hours. or was it the massage that worked?

one sure thing is that after applying, don't wash your hands immediately unless you want to experience the rheumatism feeling.Frown

err.... but can u pinpoint the exact area tht is hurt or injured??

or u gona just apply the whole leg??
with all the fur, u'll need to shave it clean??

depends on the size of ur dog, i think it's less than 10kg? and ur bed isn't that high unless fell frm a top of double decker...??

guess she'll be ok in a couple of days no need to worry too much.. most dogs are tahan lasak animals... Cool

SmileI have tried before on my dog and he recovered about 2 days time.. the liquid evaporate very quickly.. so you must be fast to rub gently on your dog ''affected leg'' ... from leg top to bottom in a consistent fashion(shun shun manner).

i'm not sue how are you going to prevent your dog from licking the spot..... but after the liquid evaporate, there's nothing for her to lick? so wait till the fur dry then observe whether she lick anot.

good luck

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabethan_collar

I've seen it on sale in some petshops here and I'm sure most well-equipped vets will have them.

look like a cone-shape wrapping around the dog face, wear at the neck. but i saw dog wear it to create a protection for the eyes... seems the dog need to drink water? can the dog reach his water if wear the e-collar?
