My two year Shih tzu( Jovi) loves to jump on furniture and on the bed. I read somewhere that this should not be encourage as no good for its back- is this true? If so, he has been doing it since he was a puppy- any way to re-train him on this?
Am very worried about his back when he gets older....help! JT78

hi,
not too sure whether furniture jumping is good for ur dog's back or not, but pretty sure that it's no good for your furniture :)
the way to correct his behavior is to firmly say "OFF!" when u see him jumpin onto the bed. If he don't get the idea, say "OFF!" and carry him down off the furniture. by time he'll get the idea. hope this helps.
