hi! there....i'm from sarawak, working in KL. I have an english cocker spanial and she's currently with my parents in ipoh. miss her terribly. am looking for a suitable dog to keep me company here and i'm staying in an apartment. was thinking of getting a jack russell terrier but need advice...

hello!! welcome to the party!! We are from Penang. Trivor is a 5 months old golden retriever. I would say golden is the best companion of all haahaahaaa.... Hope you'll find a suitable dog soon!

welcome 2 forum michelle. JRT is intelligent n extremely active dog with its little size, he needs exercise all the time... just make sure we have enough time for him b4 we find ourself 1. if u do have the time for him, i am sure u will be very happy to have a JRT with u..... they r just such a clever dog to have..... hope u find yr JRT soon... there r some other member here who has JRT... they may advice u i guess...... cheers...

Hi!...yes...hopefully i can get one soon. my friend just got a golden retriever, 2 months old, absolutely adorable and just loves the attention...i thought of getting one as well but as I'm staying in an apartment, the poor thing would not have enough space to run! so better off getting a small dog.

JRT is lovely... my neighbour has one... but that fella barks quite abit... Not sure about JRTs, but they r surely active... I'm still trying to convince my neighbour to dump the dog into my fish pond and see him swim.... ... hehehe!!

yes...hopefully soon...the sooner the better...how old is donut by the way? is it a he or a she? anyway, from the pic, Donut looks cute & cuddly! perhaps i can consider one like donut? i don't know what type of dog i should get...i love them all! but definitely a small one due to the "limited" home space i have...sigh! -midge-

Thanks for the compliment.... Donut is about 3++ mths old, male ST... But he is not very cuddly... coz he is really small... but he is definitely cute and has got a heart-melting look! I'm trying to pump him slightly fatter.... coz he looks like a chihuahua when i shower him...
But then again, it depends very much on wut type of behaviour r u expecting from ur dog. Every breed has its general behaviour... so it won't go far from there gua....

I too live in an apartment n did a fair amount of research in which breed will suit such an environment best. Finally I found the pug and have one now. The pet I go to said that pugs are the best breed to have in a small place or an apartment.
Yoda, doesn't bark often. In fact he has only barked less than 20 times. That definitely would keep some of the complaints that may come from neighbours as sound seem to travel at wodnerous speed in an apartment. Nevertheless, pugs are filled with energy, not to worry as letting em run around the place will fulfill it's needs to exercise. Pugs were breed to be lap dogs ... so they need lots of attention ... give em that with lots of love, n u'll see how it responses

Hi Michelle,
Welcome to the forum !!! We are glad to have u onboard ! On having a JRT, they are a hyper loving kiddo and also a GREAT companion. There is a few members here (ginl & cherygan) who have JRTs and you can actually get their input on having a JRT kid.

tq for the shih tzu tip...no doubt they are the pretty ones with long silky fur...eyes that can melt your heart...i'll put that into consideration...am still open to all small breeds tho' quite interested to know more on JTR -midge-
