Red Eye	Can't Post

Hi there,
Is it ok if puppy got red eye? I was told it
's due to 'heatiness'. Is not dringking enough water or sleeping too little the cause of it?

is it some kind of symtons that we should pay attention for?

Errmm..Not too sure about this...But is the eye watery besides getting red? If yes..then it might be distemper....

Anyway wait and see what our pioneer out here would say about your pups condition...

It's not watery. Just like at times, we ourselves also got red eye due to lack of sleep etc..

It's about 12 weeks old, and awaitng 3 injection. Normally distemper strikes for puppy less than 6 weeks old rite?

Please give more description on the red eyes condition ... did you mean that there is an eyes' membrane having red colour?

Hi Jason,

Urr....it's more on the bottom part of the eye. (IE. below the black eyeball). I don't think he's got distemper (althought I have not seen doggies with distemper before), becoz' he is very active, noicy & joyful.

cd moo..what breed of dog do you own? If you look at some pictures of basset hounds, you can see that their eye is also slightly reddish under the eyeball..

Hi Rainbow,

Mine is a 3-month Lab.

I've started digging some info. and found the followings:
www.labbies.com/eye.htm , under the section "DISORDERS OF THE EYELIDS" .. It could be due to this. Anyway, tonite I will 'dig' out his eye and find out :)
