anyone heard abt the term "stripping" i got a new book on jrt that day & it had a chapter on strippin, my other books all dont have anythin on strippin for jrt.
strippin = a procedure of strippin out the older hairs to make way for new hairs to grow. it is done abt once or twice a year. no need any special tools, jz strip with our hands. grab a pinch of hair with thumb & index finger, strip by pullin against the direction of hair growth. the book didnt write abt how long it will take to grow the new hair wor. the more i read the new book, the more it seems logical to do strippin on my jrt cuz he's hair is gettin more robust & rougher
oh ok, finally someoone here knows abt strippin. so immediately after strippin ur doggie a little ugly la i guess??? cuz the fur & hair all kena stripped ade. how long it'l take for the new hair to grow leh??? do i need to finish strippin the entire body or jz part by part???
oh my friend is the one with the stripped schnauzer. She does it in sections and i am not sure for jrt. And shown me the result of the stripped coat and the non stripping one. The fur is really soft. r U planning to show ur dog? It need 2 to 3 mths to regrow the coat.

hmmm. thought so ade, cuz i dont think the dog or guardian also can tahan strip the whole body at one go i know the new regrown hair are much softer & healthier, izzit normal for 2~3mths for regrowin??? does it differ from breed to breed??? can ask ur fren ah???
nope im not showin but jz want zeus to look good & healthy cuz the longer old hair stays, the more dead cell they can collect
aiyo u pluck the old hair very softly only la. use ur thumb & index finger, start with the hair above the shoulder, if the hair comes off easily, meaning its ready for strippin. hehe ive got all the theory ade but no hands on yet, but gonna do additional research then may wanna start strippin zeus next Q1
you strip already the new hair come out is wiry and rough not softer. And it can be painful for the dog if you don't do it correctly - after zeus gigit you.
huh? really? rougher? i thought the new grown hair will be softer? thats what written on the book la. i wont be too apinful as i got try on zeus ade, that fella restin & enjoyin, like massage like that ma, the strippin dont hurt him cuz i dont use much force, jz a slight tug & the old hair stripped off ade wor.
Well, the breed standard for some terriers like the Westie as well the schnauzer, specify that the coat must be rough and wiry, and you can only get that by stripping.
