For the past few weeks, my doggie started chasing her tail non-stop. We thought it was because of the way her tail lands on her body after grooming. However, when I showered her last week, I saw that the one part of her tail was inflammed and have open wound. We brought her to the vet and the doctor said that it might be caused by the tick and she constantly biting her own tail to relieve the itchiness....so the saliva might play a part.
She is better now, but the wound is still not fully healed. I was just wondering any of you has encountered this problem before, and probably can provide some pointers?
