How to bath a Silky Terrier? Can't Post

Hi all,

Just got my Silky Terrir 10 weeks-old) a week ago and I'm about to bath him for the first time as he has just got his 2nd vaccination last week. This is my first puppy and i hope to get some tips here to minimise the irritation from the bath.

Thanks and hope to hear from you all soon.

Taking care a Silky Terrier hair is like taking care your own hair. If you know how to take care your own hair then I think you have no problem in Silky Terrier hair.

Since your Silky Terrier still puppy, try use a mild shampoo with conditioner for puppy. You can get it from petshop either this two brand - 1# All System or Biogroom. After bath towel dry & blow dry the hair at the sametime brush out the tangle hair. Always brush and comb the same direction the hair grow.

Lastly, daily brushing and combing a must.

Yes. You can use the human hair dryer. Always use Cool Air to blow dry their hair yaCool

Hi chris and all,

Is comb and brush different? I have a comb from petshop, do i need to get a brush as well? To comb first or to brush first? Can you recommend a good brush for Hugo?

Thanks

Brush is for untangle hair then use comb.

Good brush quite expensive. But is a good investment and can last longer compare to cheap brush & comb.

You can look for this brand 1# All Systems grooming products.
