My one year old veg dog dont like me looking at her eye. She will lie down on one side and cover her eyes with her paw and making a funny childlike noise sound like u u u. Sometime will bark and and make a digging action with her front leg lying down.Strange or not? susah- have avoid looking at her eyes.

chinese ppl sometimes refer to mongrels as "choi yuen gao" (in cantonese), hence the direct translation of "veg dog"... i think they r refering to mongrels found at kampungs or plantation areas...
it's much better to a name like "chap plang gao" (no brand dog?) which i find to be very offensive!

Ahhh I see. Interesting etymology. Thanks for the explanation ai_ney. Anything choiyün these days has a cachet attached to it. I used to get my choiyün eggs at 40 sen each. At the Kepong market yesterday, someone was selling them at 45 sen! So, being referred to as a veg dog can't be a bad thing at all.

i assume u r not chinese? but u seem to know quite a few chinese sayings hor? very good!
the term choi yuen gao is fine, it's been around for a long time... but personally lar, chap plang gao is such an insult! just the other day a colleague was calling another colleague's fren's dog a chap plang gao... i told my colleague off and she just replied "what? it IS a chap plang gao."
