Switzerland Can't Post

Hi, my name is Vanilla, I'm two years old and I am a "Soft Coated Irish Wheaten Terrier". My owners just moved from Switzerland to KL and took me with them. We will stay here for ever, we do like it here. I admit, it's a little hot here and I guess you never have snow, but I can show you pictures of myself in the snow. In Switzerland I met my friends every morning in the woods or on the meadows to run around and play. I miss them and I am a bit lonely. There are quite some nice fellows in my neighbourhood, but they are never allowed to go out of their garden, so I just say hello through the fence. My owners they are so nice, they will get me a friend. A male puppy, arriving this Saturday. His name will be Zucker, that means sugar. I'm looking forward, but on the otherside, you know, how babies are, soon they are tired and want to sleep and forget about serious adult talk. So I try to meet with some of you folks for this K9 Trekking. When will the next trekking start? Wedalooga! That is Swiss-German and means Good-bye!

Hi Amanda85,

I couldn't make it on Saturday, as I went to the airport to get the new puppy, named Zucker (sugar). For sure I will come next Saturday.

I assume you will go rain or shine, but not thunderstorming.

Can dogs go off leash?

Are there any unsocialized dogs, I have to be aware of. Especially if I bring the puppy. Which I will carry mostly in the backpack.

As I have never been member of a forum before, I have another strange question: When I meet people there, do I tell my real name?

Thank you, jemavz

Welcome!

My dog is from The Netherlands, he likes it alot in the tropic. He came only February of this year. He is a Maltese, i keep his coat short & he will be here also for a very long time. Hope Vanilla will like it here too & Zucker. At the end of the day, they don't care where they lives as long as they can be close to their bossWink Hope you enjoy it on this site. Ciao..

Trimming [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi, each day my owner likes the forum better, because she learns to know a lot. Now, I ask you, how you trim your Maltesers hair. My owner did this with the good old kitchen scissors and as she did it for the first time, well I must say it's less hot now, but don't ask me how I look like. My breeder will faint!!! So at the moment we are looking for trimming mashines or a professional dogs-hairdresser. By the way, the vet told us that anyhow the dogs body will adjust by loosing hair. Let's see. Vanilla

My dog have adjusted here but he hasn't lose any hair. I really recommend this groomer i took my dog to, he is very good together with his sister in law, they love dogs & will definitely take care of your Vanillla & Zucker. They spent 4 hours grooming my Bailey, he usually become very stressed out after his grooming with other people but with Eric (the name of the groomer), he was very happy & playful afterwards. I am very satisfied with Eric's work, their fondness for taking care of my four-legged son & their devotions to their job. They are located at Aman Suria, the name of the shop is DeniseDylan. You can call Eric at his mobile number for further informations/ direction, if your interested, as it is quite hard to find your way here. Eric; 0122011017 & if you would like any further infos your most welcome to contact me at my mobile; 016 977 5305

Oh so great, I will call him and then finally I won't only have nice dogs but also good looking ones. At the moment Vanilla looks more than she had an accident with the lawn mower, fur here and there. On top its important for the puppy to learn the procedure as young as possible. Thank you!!

Next question: Are there any puppy meetings in order to socialize the dog. This is what we do in Switzerland. Thank you!

how old is d puppy?...if u were 2 carry him in d backpack...then it will surely exhausting for u....as d trek last 4 approximately 2 hours..Shocked

sad to say that sometimes, there r unsocialize dog....if i'm aware of it...i wouldn't let my dog offleash.....but fortunately the regular trekkers dog r all friendly....juz tat sometimes, they might be too rough while playing wit others....Cool

if ur confident wit ur dog....u can let him offleash..... but as for me, i lost my dog b4 in d trek....so i'm kinda concern n wouldn't let my dog offleash......might afraid she went off n chase d wildlife....Mad

however, there is an open area near d stream, where all of d trekkers will stop n take a rest while letting their dog offleash n play....this is d only place where i let my dog offleash.....

v will be there unless raining cats n dogs.....as i stayed very near 2 d place...i'll usually ring up d others if there happen 2 have any rain.....but most of d time......v r lucky enuf that, saturday mornings very very seldom have rain...

as for ur real name.....u r free to tell us....v r all frens, rite?? as for ur information, my name is Amanda....Smile

feel free 2 visit my blog from d link below....last saturday i have capture a video during d trek....Wink

Re: [Amanda85] Switzerland [In reply to] Can't Post

You are so helpful, thank you.

As me too I live just around the corner from Gasing Jungle, I went there yesterday, taking the both dogs with me. It was great! As the puppy isn't used to walk on the leash yet, I just let him run after Vanilla and she was off-leash as well. But as you shouldn't let puppys walk for too long, I had to carry Zucker for the rest of the walk. And it was exhausting!!! I will never make two hours like this.

So, I will meet you on Saturday with Vanilla only. And what I have seen from the pictures this dogwalking will be just the best! I am in Malaysia since April and I love it here but I missed the outdoor thing. Now I feel free again. I am now in the jungle if possible every morning. Looking so much forward.

Then Eric will definitely take care of Zuiker. I have no idea where puppy socialisation class is held but you can check the forum under training which may help you to seek a class for your pup. Goodluck!
