Last weekend i went to SPCA to check out some dogs and surprisingly I found "Happy" and "New Year", a maltese siblings still there. FYI, some members have already discussed about their case in puppy . com long time ago. I will not repeat their story.
I saw some pictures of them on the internet about a month ago and they look really pretty. However, from the last visit, i found that they are no longer looking nice. The fur near the legs have turned brownish-grey in stead of white. Also, I found the fur are dropping and one of the maltese, not sure if he is "Happy" or New Year" has some blood on his ear.
I know it is not the fault of SPCA. SPCA has too many dogs to take care.

and spca does not have an in-house groomer to help make the dogs look prettier... there's a volunteer who goes to spca every week or 2 weeks once to groom the dogs, but she cant handle many dogs in just a few hours she's there...
so any groomers out there who wants to lend a helping hand to spca or paws... your skills are very much needed to help groom the dogs so that they look better to potential adopters...

Hi Derrick, i cannot remember which thread was that. What i read from the thread was that both "happy" and "new year" were bought somehow during CNY to celebrate this occasion. Somehow later the owner found it troublesome to keep the two dogs and bring them to SPCA. I do not know how true is this story. But you can still see the pictures of "happy" and "new year" frp, SPCA website- the newly uploaded album. My PiPi does not have long fur

Yaya , ai_ney, i saw one lady came over to groom the dogs during my last visit in SPCA. I hope this is the same lady whom you refer to. She was tired after repeatedly grooming different dogs yet she looked so happy. She is my hero !!
Really hope that they will be adopted too. Too bad the chance that both of them will be adopted by one same family will be slim because many people are not able to take care of two dogs, especially if they are in not so "nice" condition. My PiPi does not have long fur
