Hi all,
Sorry for late reply.... I am away from KL last week. Hmm... seemed like the respond is kinda good.
Don't worry about your furkid if he/she know how to swim or not.... if he/she know how to fetch and retrieve then he/she should not be a problem. Dog have the insticnt on how to swim. My pup get to know how to swim when the first time I bring him to the lake.
The reason behind I choose early morning is the water is calm unlike evening it is kinda choppy. Don't worry your furkid will not get cold as he will be running up and down in and out from the lake.... hahah...
I will try to come out with the map by tonite or tomorrow and will update here....

Hunter,
That lake is belongs to the developer on Taman Tasik Prima... although there are lots of muslim (Indonesian) bathing and roaming around that lake as the developer did build up path ways and a "pondok" which is for people to rest besides the lake. I don't think that should be a problem.....
Me and my neighbours do bring our furkid there during weekend and no one is stopping us from bring our furkid there.

hi amanda,
if you've noticed, i never off leash my dogs in an open area unless i'm training them off-leash exercise. even hunter who's been trained off-leash for years will always be leashed in public when going for gatherings and stuffs.
my reasoning is no matter how reliable a dog could be, there is still a possibility that something might trigger them to run off. what if they get into trouble? what if they never return?
i know it's common for many dog owners to off-leash their dogs for fun sometimes, but my dogs are really too precious to risk that. just my thought.
and don't worry about your dog thinking you're bad la. she knows you knows best and would appreciate the safety measure. my dogs are always on leash but always enjoyed themselves in every gathering.
PS : should not be able to make it to the gathering. Muffin is going for a video shoot for some independent film on the same morning. can you believe it, she is more busier than me.

No la, don't think letting her have fun will affect training, lol; unless u do things to encourage Paco to ignore u (like when she's off-leash, u call her and allow her to ignore u)
Active as in active in obedience trials ar? yea i'm active in that.
i'm also obedience trainer for MKA selangor/ft branch :)
